TechBirmingham is proud to announce that TechMixer Expo 2011 is scheduled for April 12, 2011, at the BJCC Sheraton from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This exposition event showcases Technology User Groups and Technology Supporting Companies in the Birmingham Region.

TechMixer Expo is a great opportunity for your company to reach out to technology professionals and supporting enthusiasts from multiple demographics and employed by Birmingham companies of every size. Last year we had 69 sponsoring entities and over 1,000 attendees who networked with their peers and learned more about the event sponsors.

The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) was formed seven years ago to formalize and recognize a profession that has been in practice for many years – Business Analysis. The(IIBA®) has more than 10,000 members and 100 chapters worldwide. The Birmingham Chapter of the IIBA® was founded in 2008. One of our primary focuses is to help our members become a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP® ). A designated CBAP® recipient is globally acknowledged as a competent individual performing Business Analysis responsibilities. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to work with our members to become world-class leaders in the market place and provide the best value to their employers.

PMI Birmingham is a 450+ member organization established in 1995 as a chapter of the Project Management Institute. The Birmingham Area Linux Users (BALU) is a community interested in Linux and free/open source software (FOSS). We are a diverse group- from end users looking to find answers to their computer questions, to developers working on software projects, to system administrators staying in tune with the latest pulse of technologies.

Rubyham offers Birmingham area Ruby professionals and enthusiasts a chance to catch up with other like-minded individuals and expand their skill set. Don’t worry, one doesn’t need to be a Ruby master to be able to learn a little and get more familiarized with the language. Monthly talks range from newbie to advanced, so everyone can get something out of attending. Rubyham is hosted at the offices of Isotope|eleven, usually on the last Wednesday of each month.
